Top of the Mountain Adventure

Students can explore the summit of this unique monadnock and learn about the fascinating forces that forged the mountain as we know it today!

Groups will first ascend 825 feet to the top of Stone Mountain in the Summit Skyride! Once there, they will meet their guide and spend 30 minutes walking around the top of the mountain to observe various geological, environmental, and man-made features. Student scientists will be challenged to hypothesize about geological forces affecting the mountain and discover how this very unique habitat came to be millions of years ago.
