The all-new MEGABUGS! exhibit provides the perfect setting for Stone Mountain Park’s newest STEM field trip. This program will cover a variety of topics, including metamorphic life cycles, the bugs of Georgia, pollinators and ecosystems. Students will learn how bugs help people through their roles in the environment and food production. The MEGABUGS! program features interactive demonstrations and a self-guided tour of the MEGABUGS! exhibit. This new exhibit is an immersive and interactive area, featuring more than 70 larger-than-life insects perfect for "bugologists" of any age to explore. The enlarged features of our giant bugs allow students to look at body parts and think about how these creatures are adapted to their habitats. Your students will come face-to-face with a 15-foot Emperor Dragonfly, a 26-foot Hissing Cockroach, a 50-foot Madagascan Fire Millipede, and much more, including friendly Bees, Butterflies and Ladybugs. Program will be customized based on the grade level(s) attending.
