For 47 years, Stone Mountain Park has partnered with Redbud District of The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., to co-sponsor the Yellow Daisy Flower Show during the Yellow Daisy Festival, one of the nation’s premier arts and crafts shows. In 2011, the flower show was the recipient of Southern Festivals and Event’s Kaleidoscope award for ‘the best event within an event and has received national Flower Show Achievement awards numerous times from National Garden Clubs, Inc. for its annual Standard Flower Show at Stone Mountain Park.

What to Expect
There are many aspects to the Flower Show from Design entries to Youth entries to all the various classifications of horticulture. Last year there were nearly 500 horticulture entries, dozens of unique floral designs, and 100 youth design and horticulture entries. Educational exhibits this year will feature bees and beneficial bugs in the garden.
Enter Your Own
The general public is invited to enter horticulture in the flower show. Start thinking about which of your prized horticulture specimens you will enter. We need cut specimens of all types, as well as flowering and foliage container-grown plants. Bring in your homegrown tomatoes, watermelons, peppers, etc. All horticulture entries will be accepted at Memorial Hall on Thursday, September 7 between the hours of 1 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Contact Horticulture Classification Chairman, Rosalie Gage at email@example.com with questions regarding horticulture entries.
Encourage your children, grandchildren, Sunday school classes or scouts to enter the youth section of the show. Youth, preschool through ages 18, may enter horticulture and design. For more information on youth entries, contact Susan Turner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Memorial Hall’s atriums will be abound with Disney-themed floral art, interpreting Disney tunes and movies. And petite floral designs, Minnie’s Minnie-atures 4-8” high, will be featured in the Hall’s connecting hallway.
