ROLE PREPARATION

ACTORS & ACTRESSES

Improv/Hosting
Male/Female, Improv actors to lead numerous game show style events throughout the day. Must be able to interactive with youngsters, while keeping the action on track

New Water Themed Show
Male/Female, Actors who are comfortable interacting with crowds to portray 3 characters in a slapstick style 15 minute interactive water show. Actors in this show can expect to get wet during every performance.

New! Train Stunt Show
Male/Female, Actors that will perform in a humorous stunt style show numerous times during the day. Show numbers can be up 14 performances a day.

Storytellers
Male/Female, who communicate well with children. Ability to engage youngsters and keep stories exciting is a must. Puppetry experience is a plus. Park

Ambassadors
Male/Female, with fantastic guest-service skills, energy, and enthusiasm.

Mascot Performers and Puppeteers
Male/Female. Mascot and Puppeteer experience is preferred but not required but, ability to express emotion through body movement is desired. Mascots are non-speaking roles, and the performer is fully covered, including head, face, and hands. *Please note that performers will be outdoors in sun and high temperatures for most of the day, and some positions will require light manual labor- i.e. cleaning, prepping, and closing venues/attractions

 

HOW TO PREPARE

If you are capable of more than one of these talents, you may prepare multiple audition pieces. Please wear clothes and shoes that you are comfortable to move in. Actors, Improvisers, and Storytellers, please prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue suitable for family entertainment. Ambassadors, Mascots, and Puppeteers, please prepare a 30-second introduction of yourself, and you will be given a side to read at the audition. You may also be asked to improv a few scenarios as needed. Puppeteers are welcome to bring any props/puppets needed for your introduction.

Spring Fun Break rehearsals will begin in early March with performances running March 30th - April 7th. Summer at the Rock rehearsals will begin as early as mid-April with performances running daily from June 8th-July 28th. All summer employees are expected to work July 4th (Independence Day). Select SFB and SATR positions may continue, weekends only, through end of October.

It is not necessary to fill out an online application prior to your audition, but highly suggested.
