More About The Events & Attractions This Month At Stone Mountain Park
Recreational Activities at Stone Mountain Park
If you like recreational activities, Stone Mountain Park will be your home away from home throughout the year. The park is home to a 323-acre lake, five miles of paved walking trails, and two eighteen-hole golf courses. Explore the great outdoors on a paddle board or Segway, or by venturing on the 1-mile trek up the mountain for breathtaking views.
Atlanta’s Greatest Outdoor Tradition
For family fun in the warmer months, our legendary Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision® is a can’t-miss event at the park. The perfect outdoor activity, this show takes place on the world’s largest screen: an 825-foot-tall granite wall – five times the size of an IMAX screen and taller than the Statue of Liberty. Since 1983, the Lasershow has wowed audiences of all ages with its cutting-edge technology and modern music.

During the day, enjoy our activities and events, then stay right on site at one of our park’s hotels. Park guests can choose from the Marriott Stone Mountain Inn or Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Resort.
The Stone Mountain Inn, a replica of a 19th century home, offers hotel guests a classic Southern stay. It has over 92 over-sized guest rooms and buffet-style southern cooking at the Mountainview Restaurant.
The Atlanta Evergreen Resort gives off vacation vibes with its over-sized outdoor chess board and poolside bar. Whether you come for business, pleasure, or both, the resort’s luxurious rooms will leave you feeling refreshed for a day of exploring around the park.
Don’t miss out on the Park’s shopping and dining opportunities. From quick bites at cafes throughout the park to sit-down restaurants like The Commons overlooking the lake, there’s something for every palate. You can’t leave the park without taking part in some retail therapy. Indulge in your sweet tooth at the Sweet Shoppe or take home a Stone Mountain Park souvenir from the Marketplace Gift Shop.
