Attractions

Stone Mountain Park is Georgia’s most-visited attraction for a reason! Some attractions and activities are open until 10:00 PM, meaning you can either start or end your evening at the park.

Take a ride on the Summit Skyride for the most spectacular sunset on the top of the mountain, or hike up and ride down for an adventurous and enjoyable evening.

Get your friends together or that special someone and tackle a new adventure together on SkyHike®, one of the nation’s largest outdoor adventure courses. You choose your path, and no two hikes are the same! Beginners can challenge themselves on the 12-foot level, while more advanced hikers can climb four stories high. Your options are endless and you’re sure to create lasting memories on this exciting adventure course.

The Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf is another activity open late and is the perfect activity for those warm summer nights. Venture through 18 holes of miniature golf with train-inspired elements and challenges with the stunning Stone Mountain in the background.

These are just a few of the attractions that are open late at Stone Mountain Park. Check out the Atlanta attractions page to see what’s open tonight!

Camping

Whether you want to go the traditional route with your own tent under the stars or go glamping in a canvas-covered yurt, a memorable night of camping awaits at Stone Mountain! Nestled right in the middle of the park are 400 pop-up, RV, and tent sites for you to choose from at one of Georgia’s best campgrounds. Plus, guests love the amenities like the swimming pool, sand volleyball court, children’s playground, and more!

Your lodging options on Georgia’s largest campsite include the following:

  • RV & Motor Home Sites – Bring your own RV and park on one of the 250 full or partial hook-up spots.
  • Yurt Rentals – 18 lakeside wood and canvas yurts feature heat/AC, electricity, furniture, and more.
  • Tent & Pop-Up Sites– Bring your own tent and set up camp on one of the 125 partial hook-up sites or 46 primitive tent sites. Choose from either lakeside or wooded sites.
  • Safari Tent Rentals – Made from wood and canvas, choose a tent that is already set up and waiting for you!
  • RV Rentals – You don’t have to own an RV for this camping getaway. Rent one of the park’s RVs and spend the night right in the beautiful wooded lot that overlooks the lake.

Dinner on the Lake

The Commons Restaurant features the perfect outdoor space for an intimate dinner. Located right next to the golf shop, you’ll love having a meal overlooking the lake on The Commons’ patio. The menu offers delectable southern staples with a progressive twist – from fried green tomatoes to ham and cheese grit fritters.

If the weather doesn’t permit a meal outdoors, venture over to the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort in the park. Inside, you’ll find the Waterside Restaurant, known for its delicious Friday night-themed buffets and specials. Choose from the buffet-style display or order off the menu that features classic American dishes. Watch the sun go down through the large bay windows overlooking the lake and mountainside.

Hotel Stay

What better way to have a night to remember than by booking a little getaway? The park has two hotels to choose from: The Inn at Stone Mountain Park or the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort.

They each offer a unique experience, with the Inn being a carefully preserved building and close to the attractions, and the resort being a little bit further away from all of the activities, but with a more vacation-type feel. Both hotels feature a pool – the perfect spot for a late-night swim. At the resort, you can order poolside handmade cocktails and tapas at Stonewall’s Lounge. At the inn, you can indulge buffet-style in classic Southern dishes with all the charm of the south.
