The Lasershow has always been free. Why are you charging now?
Due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on our business, staff shortages and the increased costs to produce the Lasershow, we have implemented a fee to cover our operating costs and provide the same quality of experience our guests have come to expect. Mountain Members and guests with Attractions Passes can add a Lasershow square for $10 per square. All other guests are charged $20 per square.
Will Stone Mountain Park have a Lasershow and extended Fireworks celebration for the 4th of July weekend?
Yes! Stone Mountain Park’s Fantastic Fourth Celebration will take place at 9:30 PM July 1st through the 5th. Voted the “Best Place to see Fireworks in Atlanta” by Atlanta Journal -Constitution readers, a “Must-See Fireworks Show” by USA Today and one of Reader’s Digest’s picks for “America’s Most Spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks.” The extended Fireworks Celebration will take place immediately following the Lasershow Spectacular. Guests can see the exact same show each night of our Fantastic Fourth Celebration.
Do I need to make a reservation to see the Lasershow & extended Fireworks during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration?
Yes. We anticipate reaching capacity limits on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Priority reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular and Fantastic Fourth Celebration will be given to those guests with packages at the hotel, campground, Mountain Members, or those with attraction tickets.
Will Stone Mountain Park continue to utilize squares for viewing the Lasershow & extended Fireworks during the Fantastic 4th Celebration?
Yes. Guests may reserve a family square for up to 4 individuals for $20. Mountain Members and guests with an Attractions Pass can purchase a reserved family square for $10. Reservations are required. Reserve Now
Why is Stone Mountain Park limiting capacity to watch the Lasershow and extended Fireworks?
Due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic we do not have the staff to accommodate the tens of thousands of guests that traditionally attend the Fantastic Fourth Celebration on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Priority reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular and Fantastic Fourth Celebration will be given to those guests with packages at the hotel, campground, Mountain Members, or those with attraction tickets. Can I still bring in chairs / blankets / coolers /etc?
Yes, however all items must fit within your purchased square. You can bring your own food to the Lasershow and picnic on Memorial Lawn prior to the show provided you have a reservation. Glass containers and grills are not allowed on the lawn. Alcohol is not permitted on the laser lawn. Please note that any tents or shade coverings must come down prior to the Lasershow starting.
How much does it cost to watch the Lasershow and extended Fireworks during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration?
Priority reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular and Fantastic Fourth Celebration will be available for $10 to those guests with packages at the hotel, campground, Mountain Members, or those with attraction tickets. What are my options if I don’t want to purchase an Attractions Pass to watch the Lasershow Spectacular and extended Fireworks?
General reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular and Fantastic Fourth Celebration on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, will be available at 5 PM daily, pending availability. General reservations may not be offered if priority reservations exceed available inventory.
We recommend making a purchase of a Lasershow only square on July 1st or the 5th when we anticipate lower attendance. The Lasershow Spectacular and extended Fireworks show will be exactly the same as the other dates of our Fantastic Fourth Celebration.

What do I do when I get to the park?
We recommend you arrive early to take full advantage of our attractions and to secure the best Lasershow viewing square. Squares are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can redeem your online purchases at our Crossroads or Skyride ticketing locations. You will then receive an Attractions wristband and a Lasershow wristband that will alert our barricade staff that you have access to the lawn.
What if it rains during my visit?
Stone Mountain Park monitors the weather very closely. We will start the show early or delay as necessary to keep guests safe and to make every effort to provide a full show.
Are there designated smoking areas?
Lower Lawn (below train tracks): On the left side near the Cherokee Trail below the South Carolina terrace. Upper Lawn: Outside of the east and west side restrooms. All other areas on the laser lawn are restricted. Please be courteous of non-smoking guests.
Can I reserve a pavilion during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration or on Sunday, July 4th?
Due to heavy traffic and large crowds associated with the 4th of July weekend and holiday, we do not rent any of our Private Picnic Facilities, including the covered pavilions. They cannot be reserved during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration or on Sunday, July 4th itself and we will not give anyone permission to use these facilities on these dates. While many of the covered pavilions may have been occupied on those dates in prior years, those guests did not have the facility reserved and did not have the permission to use the facility.
