Miss Katie's offers lunch and dinner* inside its two-story, boarding house theme building or in the cool shade on the patio. After your meal, relax in a rocking chair on the porch. Miss Katie's is conveniently located in the center of Crossroads and just a short distance from the Memorial Lawn.

Operational Update for Summit Skyride
Summit Skyride will be closed for winter maintenance Feb 8-12 & Feb 15-26. It will be open the weekend of Feb 13-14 and will fully reopen to guests on Feb 27. Thank you for your understanding and patience.


The rock’s top attraction is The Summit Skyride. This high-speed Swiss cable car provides a stunning view of the Confederate Memorial Carving as it transports guests more than 825 feet above ground to the top of Stone Mountain. From the top, experience amazing views of the Atlanta skyline, the Appalachian Mountains and more up to 60 miles away.

Climb aboard our train with a full size locomotive from the 1940s with open-air cars that will take you on a lively five-mile excursion around the mountain. Marvel at beautiful views of Stone Mountain and the surrounding landscape.

The train experience includes exciting tales of real life train adventures as told by conductor Fire Box Floyd. Train-themed music and well known sing-a-longs make the ride fun for all ages. The train can be boarded and de-boarded from Memorial Depot in Crossroads.

Your senses will be engaged through a 3D film and spectacular 4th dimension special effects  in Journey to the Center of the Earth, starring Brendan Frasier. This exciting new film follows three adventurers as they are plunged in a strange new world beneath the Earth’s surface where they embark on an amazing voyage and find incredible beauty amidst grave danger.

Individual tickets are not available for the 4D Theater, you must have a One-Day All Attractions Pass, a Family Value Pass or a Mountain Membership to visit the Theater.

Please note:  If you’re afraid of dinosaurs or things that go bump in the night, this may not be the attraction for you.  Adventure may be too intense for smaller children. Strobe lights, water and fog in use during performance.
