Campground Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I check-in to the Campground after the office is closed?
After-office hours registration is available. The Night Registration area is located just outside the Campground office. Reserved (unavailable) sites are posted. Any site not listed is available for use. All required paperwork must be completed before going to your site. After Stone Mountain Park closes at 12:00 midnight, only campers with RVs, pop-ups or trailers, or guests with reservations will be allowed to enter the Park for Night Registration. Tent campers are not allowed into the Park after midnight unless they have a reservation.

  • What is the Cancellation Policy?
We have a 5 day (120 hour) cancellation policy. You will receive a deposit refund less a $15 cancellation fee if your reservation is cancelled anytime prior to 5 days of your scheduled visit. Your deposit will not be refunded if the cancellation occurs less than 5 days prior to your scheduled visit (for prepaid packages, a $50 cancellation fee will apply). All cancellation requests MUST BE IN WRITING and faxed to 770-413-5082 or emailed to campground@stonemountainpark.com.  Please note, if you made your reservation online, the $5 service charge is not refundable.  Cancellations via phone messages WILL NOT be honored.

  • What happens if I need to leave before my departure date?
If you decide to leave before your scheduled departure date, we will provide you with a "RAIN CHECK" for the unused days.  These “Rain Checks” are valid for one year - there are "NO refunds" for unused days.

  • Do I have to pay for parking each time I go in and out of the Park?
No. Once you pay the $10.00 parking fee to enter the Park, you will be given a dated voucher for the windshield of your vehicle that will give you unlimited access to enter and leave the Park as often as you like during your stay.
