Audition Requirements
Seeking: *Actors and Actresses, ages 18 – 75 with strong audience interaction and improvisational skills. Please note that performers will be outdoors in sun and high temperatures for most of the day. $11/hour. Hours per week vary.
*Dancer/ Movement Artist (5'11" – 6'1") in excellent physical condition to play Rock Man. Dance/mime/yoga experience highly desired. Performance consists of slow stylized movement in a Rock Man outfit. For a description of the character please go to www.TheLivingGarden.com and see The Rock under Performances. $11/hour. Hours per week vary. Please bring gym shorts and t-shirt to the audition and be prepared to try on costume.
*Male and female story-tellers of any age who communicate well with children. Ability to engage youngsters and keep stories exciting is a must. $11/hour. Hours per week vary.
For the audition: Dress to move. Please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue or short story suitable for family entertainment. You may be asked to play an improv game or try a cold reading. For those with clowning or variety show skills, be prepared to present no more than 90 seconds of your best material. Callbacks occur on the same day as auditions. Please bring a non-returnable headshot and resume.
Also seeking Ushers, male and female, age 16 and up, with fantastic guest-service skills, energy, and enthusiasm. Please note that ushers are physically active and outdoors most of the day. $7.25/hour. Hours per week vary.
For the audition: Please be prepared to do a cold reading which will be provided when you arrive. Wear clothes and shoes comfortable for movement. Headshot and resume are not required for the Usher position.
