Team Building Stone Mountain Park

Building Senior Leadership Teams

In today's hectic organizations, sometimes it is wise for the senior leadership team to call a "time out", and convene at a quiet, retreat-like location to re-group, renew, and re-commit. Building Senior Leadership Teams may be just the process to help them do that, and Stone Mountain Park may be just the location.

Building Senior Leadership Teams is a highly experiential learning and development process for a team of senior leaders who want to become more fully aligned, more focused on the right things, and build higher levels of trust in one another as they meet the broad range of challenges any senior team faces.

Each Building Senior Leadership Teams program is custom designed for the issues and group dynamics of your senior leadership team, and led by a senior InnerWork consultant who helps the senior leaders explore their key issues through three primary dimensions of performance: personal "inside-out" change, team change, and business change.

Building Senior Leadership Teams programs start with a brief but important needs assessment and design phase. This is often followed by baseline assessments on key indicators of individual leadership and team performance, and the selection of 2 – 3 critical "focus areas for change" that will be addressed through the program experience.

During the program, which can be arranged in one of Stone Mountain Park’s many private venues, the senior leadership team explores areas for self change and transformation that can accelerate senior leadership team performance, and which human behaviors and practices can inhibit performance.

On the team dimension, senior teams learn and practice, in highly interactive ways, the essential principles and practices of effective teams, and tie these principles to real work challenges. This leads us into an exploration of the critical differences between leadership and management, and we learn why effective leaders---and leadership teams---are skillful at leading organizational change.

Through facilitation and action planning, we apply this learning to the senior team’s pre-selected "areas for change" and build new levels of teamwork, leadership, and trust as the leader’s focus on their selected areas for self, team, and business growth.

The result: each senior leadership team directly experiences what it takes to be high performing leadership team, and make positive, "take-away" commitments to new areas for change that are critical to model and involve the larger organization.
