Please join Stone Mountain Park for our Picnic Preview on Saturday, April 22 for a glimpse at what is happening at the Rock in 2017. We invite you to experience our beautiful picnic pavilion and delicious catering menu, while you and your family encounter the new and exciting things our Park has to offer, including the all new DINOSAUR EXPLORE!

Event Date: Saturday, April 22, 2017

Park Attractions Hours: 10:30am-7:00pm

Picnic Pavilion Time: 11:30am-2:30pm (lunch begins at 12:00pm)

Lasershow Spectacular: 9:00pm

We recognize our responsibility to protect God’s creation and all that’s in it, therefore we will work to preserve and conserve our natural resources. Here’s what we’re working on so far. And, efforts are underway to keep this list growing.

  • Stone Mountain Park has invested in fixtures and strategies that will reduce water consumption by 23.5 million gallons per year.
  • Stone Mountain Park utilizes 14 square miles of watershed and a non-minimal release lake for a closed irrigation system.
  • Stone Mountain Park has installed a grey water recycling system for laundry, saving over three million gallons annually.
  • Eco-friendly parking lots have been developed at Stone Mountain Park for storm water and erosion management.
